Cecilio Escobedo Hernandez

September 20, 1934 — July 10, 2019

Cecilio Escobedo Hernandez Jr. lost his battle with Leukemia on July 10, 2019.

As a young man he loved playing baseball. He and his brothers all played baseball together.

He married in the summer of 1959 and fathered six children thereafter. He was an automotive paint & body repairman by trade which he later taught his three sons when they were old enough to learn. He also enjoyed playing dominoes with family and friends. Usually at backyard BarBQ’s, family gatherings and special occasions was when dominoes were played.

He was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. So when he was not at work, he enjoyed proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom of the Heavens. He was baptized in 1962. For over 50 years, he served as an elder and a regular pioneer for the Spanish congregations in McKinney and Arlington, TX. After his retirement, he continued doing the ministry work. He very much enjoyed helping others learn about Jehovah God and His Kingdom. He was a Kingdom Proclaimer until he fell ill and was unable to continue. He was humble, God-fearing and full of brotherly love.

He is survived by his six children: Noelia Espinosa, Dale Hernandez, Daisy SanMiguel, Danny Hernandez, Donny Hernandez and Ester Garcia. He has 22 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and, 9 great great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Allen Family Funeral Options.

The Funeral Service will be at Noon on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2514 North Jupiter Road, Garland, Texas.
