Cary Alvin Feldhahn passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023, at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by his family. He was born November 8, 1951, in Rock Island, Illinois, son of Alvin and Lois Feldhahn.

After graduating from Rock Island High School in 1969 he attended, Blackhawk College, and Southern Illinois University, graduating with a BS degree in Forestry and Park Management. After graduation, he worked as a forester in White Fish, Montana where he fell in love with the mountains and the Ponderosa Pines.
