Cary Cobb

January 16, 1963 — October 30, 2023

Cary L. Cobb was born on January 16, 1963 in Amarillo, Texas.  He was one of three children in a loving family raised by a single mom. His granddad was his first role model and instilled in him a love for “tinkering out in the shop” which would grow over the years to building beautiful things out of wood.

Sports, especially football, were an important part of Cary’s life from an early age. He received a scholarship to Colorado State and was able to play college football for one year before retiring due to a knee injury. He went on to graduate with honors from the University of North Texas.

While playing football, Cary developed a strict work ethic, a strong drive to succeed and win, and learned to surround himself with a good team. These lessons would later transfer to his career in Real Estate Development where he was privileged to work for Intermandeco, GP, LLC for over 30 years.  The owners allowed him to thrive and to use his many business and creative talents.

On June 30, 1997, he married the love of his life, Sharon Cheney Cobb.  She was his true soulmate and the real behind-the-scenes key to his success.  They enjoyed building their dream home together and were blessed to be married for over 26 years.

Cary loved his mom and was an attentive, caring son. He was a dedicated brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, friend and an amazing husband.  Most of all, Cary loved the Lord Jesus Christ and relied on Him throughout his life, especially during his short but traumatic bout with cancer.  He died peacefully at home on October 30, 2023, surrounded by the many prayers of friends and family and in the arms of his loving wife.
