Carrie Lynne Thomas

May 1, 1962 — September 23, 2018

After a two year battle with breast cancer, Carrie left this earth peacefully on September 23, 2018.

Carrie Lynne Thomas was born May 1, 1962 in Germany to Margaret Smith and Garren Hagemeier and spent most of her childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She married Stan Thomas on January 9, 1981 and they started their life together outside of Dallas, Texas.

Carrie was a dedicated mother and homemaker to daughter Stephanie and son Keller. She devoted her time to playing with, teaching, and caring for her family, both in and outside of the home. Carrie instilled her children with her own values of compassion, service, and faith in Christ.

In recent years, Carrie worked for the Allen Independent School District and was heavily involved in First Baptist Church of Allen. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Stan and spending time with friends and family. Carrie prioritized her family to the end, and her spirit of love, integrity, and trust in the Lord will live on.

She is survived by her husband, Stan Thomas; children, Stephanie Mowery (Adam) and Keller Thomas (Meredith); father, Garren Hagemeier (Connie); step father, Ian Schultz; mother in law, Reta Thomas; sisters, Cindy White (John) and Katie Justice (Chad); brother, Justin Hagemeier (Charity); brother in law, Greg Thomas (Martha); nieces and nephews, Kristen White, Avri and Brady Justice, and Gavin, Dane, Chase and Skyler Thomas; and many loving friends. Carrie was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Schultz.

A Celebration of Life for Carrie will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Allen, 201 E. McDermott Drive, Allen, Texas 75002 with Reverend Chad Selph officiating.
