Carrie Denise Riney

Carrie Denise Wilson Riney died peacefully on Wednesday, July 25th following a brief battle with cancer. Carrie was an only child, born December 31, 1966, to her loving parents the late Catherine LaFon Wilson and father James T. Wilson. She was cherished and loved dearly by everyone that knew her.

A native Texan, Carrie graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Dallas, Texas in 1985. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Hospitality from the University of North Texas in December 1990. During her career in the hospitality industry, Carrie served as President of the HSMAI. After starting her own business in 2016, Carrie was awarded the Rising Star Award, highlighting her commitment to the success of her clients and the relationships she built with them.

Carrie was a loving wife to her husband Carey, a devoted mom to her son Morgan and all her boys Jacob (Emmy), Caleb (Sarah), and Micah (Christine), and an adoring Grams to Lilly, Cash, Lucas, Warren, and Cal. Carrie was loved by her aunt Bradley Sue Howell, and had a deep relationship with cousins Mark Howell, Celeste Hlavenka and Jane Walker. Carrie’s life was about being a caring, loving, and committed daughter, wife, mom, Grams and friend. She did this with a wonderful sense of humor, a kind heart and a fierce love for her family and friends.

The Funeral service and viewing will be Monday, July 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Allen, 201 E. McDermott Drive, Allen Texas, 75002. The viewing will be from 10:00 am- 11:00am. The Funeral service will begin at 11:00am. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Carrie Riney Memorial Fund at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
