Carolyn Lloyd, age 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 6, 2022. She was born in Dallas, Texas on December 20, 1949. Carolyn was a cheerleader at Browne Middle School in Oak Cliff. She graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School in 1968 where she was voted a class favorite as Wittiest Senior Girl. While a student at Kimball, she was a member of the Troubadear drill team. Carolyn was a member of Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church growing up. Following graduation from high school, Carolyn attended Stephen F. Austin State University. She was a long time resident of the Kessler Park area of Oak Cliff in Dallas. She worked at Southwestern Life Insurance Company, was a housewife, and also worked many years at an allergy clinic in DeSoto, Texas.

Carolyn was an animal lover and especially loved cats. Not only was she devoted to caring for her cats, but she loved anything with a cat theme which included clothing and home decor. Carolyn’s favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved finding perfect gifts for her family and friends. She also enjoyed following England’s Royal Family, was a fan of Princess Diana, and enjoyed writing to her pen pal in England for many years. Watching television was a favorite pastime and she always knew the latest news about everyone in the entertainment industry. She especially enjoyed I Love Lucy, Mr. Bean episodes, The Three Stooges, and listening to music by Elvis. She collected porcelain Beatrix Potter figurines, stained glass pieces to hang in her windows, and limited edition prints by Charles Frace.

She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Kathryne Johns. She is survived by her sister Jeanette Robertson of Plano and her husband Randy; nephew Gary Robertson and fiancé Sharon Simpson; niece Holly Stanford and her husband Chris, and three great-nephews: Cole, Dylan, and Jameson. Carolyn is also survived by numerous cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 30th, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options. An inurnment service will be held at a later date at Christ United Methodist Church Columbarium in Plano.
