Carolyn Irene Dingman was born in Wills Point, Texas, in August 1950. As a child, she had the opportunity to live abroad with her family and often shared fond memories of her time in France and Germany.
In 1967, Carolyn met the love of her life, Bruce, on a blind date that began with a day of water skiing. They married in June 1969 and made their home in Plano, Texas, where they raised their family. They moved to the place where they would build their forever home and create countless cherished memories together. Carolyn later found great joy in becoming “Nana” and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Carolyn entered remission and continued to serve others by crocheting hats for those undergoing treatment, offering comfort and encouragement through kindness.
Carolyn loved her family deeply and treasured time spent together. She especially enjoyed family gatherings filled with board games, card games, laughter, and friendly competition-where she somehow always seemed to come out the winner. Many happy hours were spent crocheting in her favorite chair while watching Hallmark movies.
A woman of strong faith, Carolyn trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and faced life’s challenges with grace and confidence. While her family will miss her dearly, they are grateful for the love, memories, and example she leaves behind.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband Bruce Dingman; children Christine Annette Singleton, George Kevin Dingman and his wife Candice, Angela Dawn Bruce and her husband Patrick; grandchildren Derian Gallegos and her husband Angel, Tristen Singleton, Malia Singleton, Geri Hubbard and her husband Will, Owen Dingman, Hallie Roubinek, Easton Roubinek and Kinley Bruce; great grandchildren Nani Gallegos, Abigail Johnson, Charles Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Nikolas Gallegos and River Singleton; brothers Benjamin Clyde Gibson, Jr. and Robert Archie Gibson and many loving extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by grandson Zachary Marshall Purser.
