Carl Dewayne Carter

Carl Dewayne Carter, age 64, of Princeton, Texas passed away at 1:31 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Baylor Scott and White in McKinney, Texas after battling a brief illness. He was born on January 2, 1958 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Mildred Ruth Carter Williams (Taylor).

Carl recently retired from 33 years of service as a Senior Equipment Technician at Texas Instruments in Richardson. He was known for his reputable problem solving ability. An avid craftsman at home, he enjoyed woodworking, creating furniture pieces as well as crafting small leather projects in his free time.

Along with "His Bride" Carl enjoyed organic gardening and remodeling projects on their house, opening it for the heart they shared to host family and friends including the Home Group from Chase Oaks Church they led together.

Survivors, who will carry on his memory, include wife Lea Ann (Grimes Stewart) whom he married on July 16, 2015, sons of his former marriage to Alicia Carter; Carl Carter, II and Benjamin (Alexis) Carter, granddaughter Emma, all residents of Texas, stepchildren Sarah (Marshall) Usinger, Caleb D. Stewart and step-grandchildren Elias and Ava, all residents of Colorado.

Carl's big hugs and smile will be missed and loved by many family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Chase Oaks Church, Legacy Campus, Building 201 at 201 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas 75023.
