B.T Myatt

B.T. Myatt was born July 20, 1928 in Marshall, Arkansas to Blaine Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Maynard) Myatt. He passed away peacefully on the morning of March 9, 2019 in Frisco, Texas.

He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from The College of the Ozarks in 1950.

He spent his career as a Pharmacist in the Dallas, Texas area, and opened 5 locations of Myatt’s Pharmacies as well as a warehouse for his specialty items that used the Myatt name. He worked as a Pharmacist from 1950 until 2011, the last 25 years he worked for Eckerd’s-CVS Corporation after selling his drugstore locations to them.

B.T. was married to the love of his life, Lois Powell Myatt in 1962 and they remained married until her death in 2009.

He loved to tell jokes and was a math whiz until he was 90 years old. He was always friendly to everyone he met. He was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

B.T. is survived by his daughters Karen Harvey and her husband Mike, Marilyn Kroc, Elaine McDonald and her husband Matt and Kristy McDonald and her husband Greg; grandchildren Ryan and Andrew Harvey, Justin and Dana Kroc, John and Michael Schneider, Brett, Alex and Evan McDonald, Jennifer Scheland, Jordan and Taylor Powell; 10 great grandchildren; siblings Rebecca Treat, Kathryn Myatt Daniel Myatt and James Myatt. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois Myatt and son Phil Powell.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 5:30-7:00 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options. We will celebrate B.T.’s life at a funeral service Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 1:00 in the chapel of Allen Family Funeral Options. B.T. will be laid to rest with his wife at Restland Memorial Park following the service.
