Brent Lynn Schneider

July 7, 1962 — October 14, 2025

Plano

Brent Lynn Schneider was born on July 7, 1962, in WaKeeney, Kansas, and passed away on October 14, 2025, in Frisco, Texas.

Growing up in WaKeeney, Brent graduated from Trego Community High School in 1980 before attending Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, for a year. After one year there, he realized Kansas State University was calling his name. He went on to earn his degree in Business Administration and Management from Kansas State University in 1984.

After graduating, Brent began his career as a merchandise buyer in Dallas, Texas, with Mervyn’s. Following his time at Mervyn’s, he moved to Chicago, where he continued working as a merchandise buyer for several retail stores. After enduring a few long Chicago winters, Brent realized the South was where he truly belonged. He packed up his Thunderbird and returned to Dallas, ready for the next chapter of his life.

Brent then became an IT recruiter, a role he excelled in for 10 years before stepping into a fruitful career in insurance. As a Regional Sales Manager with Aflac for 12 years, he met wonderful people and built lasting relationships that he cherished deeply. He later concluded his professional journey with MetLife as a Senior Client Services Consultant.

Brent met the love of his life, Denise, in 1990 at Fellowship Bible Church in Dallas, and the two were married on November 23, 1991, in Dallas, Texas. Their love for one another became the foundation for everything Brent accomplished and was beautifully reflected in their two children, Grayson and Haley. Their son, Grayson, was born in 1996, followed by their daughter, Haley, in 1999, both of whom were the pride and joy of his life.

Brent had many passions and hobbies that reflected his creativity and curiosity. He loved spending his weekends at estate sales, collecting pottery, restoring pieces, and reselling them. He also enjoyed racquetball, swimming, and spending time with family. Brent took immense pride in his Kansas roots, the wheat fields, Kansas State University, and the community that shaped him.

Those who knew Brent will remember his authenticity and humor. He had an unmatched ability to make anyone laugh, and he approached life with determination, compassion, and a deep love for his family. At the center of it all was his faith in Jesus, which guided him through every challenge and gave him peace to the end.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Schneider; his devoted wife of 33 years, Denise Schneider; his children, Grayson Schneider (28) and Haley Schneider (26); his sister, Kelli Sontag and her husband Todd, along with their children Gavin and Brett; his brother, Trent Schneider and his wife Val, and their children Janae and Blake; and his brother, Bryce Schneider and his wife Kelse, and their children Jordan, Alexis, Damon, Derrick, and Taylor.

Brent loved Jesus deeply and found comfort in knowing he would spend eternity in the presence of God. He brought light to every room he entered and leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and faith.

There will be a celebration of Brent’s life at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Christ United Methodist Church, Plano, Texas.
