Bobby Ralph Blakey, died, July 19, 2020, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas; he was 72 years old. Bobby was born on November 21, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri. He was the son of Ralph Washington and Beulah Marie (Hampton) Blakey.
Bob served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Helicopter Side Gun, a Military Police Officer, Rifle Sharpshooter and Pistol Marksman. He had been the Manager of the All-Star Gas Company in Siloam Springs for many years before his retirement.
Growing up, Bob had a 1955 Chevy 2 door Hardtop and a 1967 Chevy II which were his pride and joy. He loved to race both on and OFF the track. He lived life to the fullest, and was the life of any room he was in. He loved to tell jokes and tease anyone near him, especially his daughter and grandson. He always loved the outdoors, summers at the lake, enjoyed cooking on the grill, making deer jerky and summer sausage.
Bob was an avid deer hunter and annually attended the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Deer Hunt for the Mobility Impaired/Disabled Military. What he loved the most is when he was deer hunting with his Grandson Garrett and son in law Ty. He was a huge fan of NASCAR, Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys, always bantering and cheering loud.
In the last years of his time on earth, his true joy and happiness came from spending a lot of time with his daughter, grandson, family, and friends.
He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Smith and her husband Ty Davis of Sachse, Texas; one sister, Betty Burks of Ozark, Missouri; his grandson, Garrett Smith and his fiancé Brittany Anderson of Josephine, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members; and was preceded in death by one sister Pat Strong and her husband Arlie Strong, both of Batesville, Arkansas along with a brother in law, Floyd Burks.
