Billy Bob Farris, 54, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on March 24, 2026.

He was born on June 30, 1971, in Dallas, Texas, to Tom and Jeanie Farris. Billy graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, in 1989, where he excelled in football and wrestling. He went on to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University on a football scholarship. After a career-ending injury, he continued his education and earned his degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1998.

Billy was known for his grit, sense of humor, and unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends. For over 30 years, he dedicated his life to shaping young lives as a teacher and coach across the state of Texas. His passion for football, wrestling, powerlifting, and golf left a lasting impact on the many students and athletes he mentored.

Billy is survived by his loving wife Marcie; children Taylor and Austin; brother Danny Farris and his wife Kathryn; along with their children Grace and Sam; and sister Yvette Kraake and her children Claudia and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Jeanie Farris.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, kind words, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Billy will forever remain in our hearts, and we will always remember his favorite words, “Love you guys.”

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Prestonwood Baptist Church Chapel, Plano, Texas.
