Billie L Mcdowell

Billie L. McDowell, age 90, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on May 11, 1933, in Borger, Texas to parents Charles & Louise Carroll.

Billie lived a long and beautiful life, dedicated to God and others from the very beginning; this is probably the reason that everyone who met her thought of her as “Mom”.  She went through some difficult events, but never lost faith in the God of her understanding.

Billie is survived by her daughter; Carla Hubbard and her husband Ken of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren Sean & Dustin Hubbard and Sarah Holbird; many great grandchildren, extended family and friends. The list would not be complete without her “Adopted” children; Michelle Bennight, Danielle Wood, Steve Miller and Carla Sotzen. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. McDowell and her son Scott A. McDowell, parents, Louise & Charles Carroll, as well as brothers Paul and Charles.

Her family is planning a private burial, with a celebration of life to take place on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Details will follow.
