Billie Jean Boss was born in Forney, Texas in 1932 and passed away at the age of 86.
Billie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. Her love for Her Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family were who she was at her very core. She made sure, along with her mother, Eva Marie Stallings-Revill, that her children were in church every single time the door opened. Seldom was a Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday worship, or revival missed. In her younger years, Billie helped teach bible classes for years while attending church.
In 1956, Billie married Norman Joseph Boss in Dallas. He was twenty-two years old and she was twenty-four. Together they had two children: Norman Joseph Boss Jr., and Brenda Lee Boss-Isaac. Billie was widowed in 1962.
Billie’s passion was helping others. This passion turned into a 35 plus year career as a LVN. She initially started out working for Dr. Holman as an allergy specialist. She was hired by Dr. Lind where she remained for 28 years until she retired.
During her time with Dr. Lind she helped women during their pregnancies, counseling and providing reassurances new moms needed. She could also be found working 2-3 jobs at the same time in order to provide for her family, always with a smile and infectious laugh. She loved her dogs! Sweets were high on her list, as well as margaritas. She always looked forward to the one beer she was allowed daily.
Billie was lovingly known as Granny. She treated her grandchildren as individuals and had different bonds with each of them. Her grandchildren loved her very much and will always carry her heart in their hearts.
Billie is preceded in death by her parents Columbus LeeRoy Revill and Eva Marie Revill, along with sisters and brothers, Nell, Martha Lee, C. L., Rex, Clo, Thelma, Hallie, and Jack. She is survived by her son Norman Boss and his three children: Norman, Sloan, Noah; and daughter Brenda Boss-Isaac and her three children: Veronica, Reed and Sheridan. Billie was also blessed with nine great grandchildren.
Billie’s love, measure of grace, forgiveness of herself, and forgiveness of others was something to behold. She will be remembered, loved, and admired by those who were lucky enough have her in their lives.
A celebration of Billie Jean’s life will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 11:00 A.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options; the family will be present for a visitation one hour prior to the service which begins at 10:00 A.M.
