Beverly Jean Foster

Beverly J. Foster, 87, of Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2017 in Plano, Texas with family by her side. Beverly was born in Buffalo, New York, where she met and married her husband of 67 years, Bedford.  Together they traveled the world and lived in Buffalo; Shelby, Ohio; and Chicago, Illinois, before moving to Dallas in 1979.  Bedford preceded Beverly in death, passing in March 2017.  Beverly is survived by children Kevin Foster, Kimberly Miller (Gary), and Greg Foster (Loretta); grandchildren Marisa Miller, Ian Miller (Emily), Erin Murphy, and Veronica Foster; and great-grandchildren Sydney and Henry Miller.

A bright, vivacious woman, Beverly devoted her life to her family and friends. Beverly maintained lifelong friendships and enjoyed spending time with those she loved, journaling, playing bridge, music, corresponding with long-distance friends and relatives, and embarking on adventures with Bedford.  Despite a number of battles with cancer, Beverly never lost her spirit, positive attitude, or determination.

A memorial service will be held on October 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Spring Valley United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas, to be followed by a reception from 2~4 p.m. at Cadot restaurant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
