Bernard "Bernie" Lee Bresson

Bernie Bresson, 57, of Plano, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

Bernie was born in Covina, California in 1962 to Mary and Verle Bresson. He spent his youth in California where he enjoyed playing ice hockey. Bernie moved with his parents and sister, Ruth, to Europe, where his parents served as missionaries. It was in Germany that he met and married Janet Ortmann. They remained in Germany for three years before returning to the States, eventually settling in Plano, Texas with their three children, Stefan, Nicholas, and Joanna.

Bernie took pride in his family’s home and greatly enjoyed improvement
projects. He relished outdoor activities, including playing sports with his children and neighbors, hiking with his family, and travelling around the world. A sportsman when he was young, he passed on his love of hockey and soccer to his children. He had a passion for people and took a keen interest in learning of others’ experiences.

Bernie is survived by his wife, Janet; son Stefan; son, Nick and his wife, Erika; daughter, Joanna; brothers, David, Jonathan and Mark and sisters, Becky, Ruth, and Liz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verle and Mary Bresson as well as his brother, Victor.

There will be an Evening of Remembrance from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Allen Family Funeral Options.

And there will also be a Morning of Remembrance from 10:00 am - Noon on Monday, March 16, 2020 also at Allen Family Funeral Options.

The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Legacy Church, 5333 Independence Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023.

Bernie was kind, patient and loving. He was deeply treasured by his family and will be remembered for his sweet spirit.
