Berlie William Harrold

Berlie William Harrold was born May 9, 1936 in Hays, North Carolina to parents Theodore Howard and Emma Mae (Sebastian)Harrold.

He graduated from Mountain View High School in Hays, North Carolina. After graduation Berlie proudly served in the U. S. Army and during that time, he was in Germany.

He worked for Montgomery Wards and many gas stations as a mechanic. He also worked for UPS for 26 years.

Berlie enjoyed watching sports and going to car shows. Two of his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the North Carolina Tar Heels. He loved working on cars and collected antique cars.

Berlie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Mary Frances Harrold, brothers Rex and Fred Harrold, six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Frances Faye Hawthorne, grandson Joshua Rose and brother Earl Harrold.

A funeral service to celebrate Berlie’s life will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options, with Pastor Robert Matthews officiating. He will be laid to rest with his daughter Frances, at Little Elm Cemetery, 16594 King Road, Frisco, Texas 75034.
