Barbara Patterson Berry

Barbara was born on June 14, 1931 in Houston, Texas to Maurice Wiley Patterson and Blanche Alleman Patterson.  She passed away December 27, 2021 in Plano, Texas at a Silver Leaf group home from natural causes.  She was 90 years old.

She graduated from Highland Park High School and attended SMU until she met Paul Brandon Berry Jr. and married in 1949.  They had 2 children, Cathy and Brandon and moved to a new neighborhood in North Dallas.  Mom loved socializing with her friends, garden clubs, bridge clubs, flower arranging, and Mes Amie, a social and charitable club.  She also worked every Apparel Mart event selling and modeling clothes for various manufacturers.  She worked at Stephens & Company for several years and then worked for Ducky Bob’s Party Rental until the age of 75 when she retired.

She enjoyed playing tennis and golf.  She exercised all the time at Curves where she met many friends.  She loved going to her son’s beautiful lake house and enjoying her family.  She also loved her family roots from Lafayette, Louisiana.  We enjoyed many family reunions with cousins on her mother Blanche’s side of the family.  Blanche was the youngest of 11 children and lived in the Lafayette area.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cathy Berry Jones (husband Larry), Paul Brandon Berry III (wife Cathy), grandchildren Alan Hall, Kelly Hall, Brandi Benson (husband Brian), Brandon Berry IV (wife Kelcie), and 4 great grandchildren.

Barbara was a fun loving and social person who loved people and her family.  Sweet, beautiful Barbara – we will miss you.

A graveside service will be held January 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm, at Restland Memorial Park, 9220 Restland Road, Dallas, Texas
