Arnold "Arnie" Reyes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arnold "Arnie" Reyes, beloved father, brother, and friend, who passed away on March 23, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois. Arnie was born on November 2, 1970, in New York City, New York, to Lourdes Alameda Reyes and Recaredo Borromeo Reyes.

Arnie is survived by his cherished daughter, Abigail Elena Reyes, his brother Steven James Reyes, and many other family members and friends who were fortunate enough to know him. Arnie married Rebecca Ann Miller in 2007; and she unfortunately passed away in 2019.

Arnie was a man of boundless love, generosity, and kindness. As a father, he was devoted to his daughter, Abigail, and took great joy in showing her the world. Whether it was attending her school activities, sharing in her hobbies, or traveling together, Arnie's dedication as a father was evident in everything he did. He was also a loving brother, loyal friend, and a person who could always be counted on.

A passionate lover of golf, Arnie spent countless hours both playing and watching the sport. He was also an avid fan of football and enjoyed the camaraderie of the games. In addition, Arnie was a gun enthusiast, appreciating the sport and the discipline it required. He found joy in practicing his skills and discussing his knowledge with others who shared his passion.

Arnie worked for one of the largest soda headquarters in the United States, where he made lasting contributions to the company. Beyond his professional achievements, he dedicated much of his time to supporting the Plano ISD community, actively participating in activities and events that made a positive impact on the lives of others.

Arnie's generosity, warmth, and trustworthy nature were qualities that made him a cherished friend and loved one. He always put others first and had an incredible ability to make everyone around him feel special and cared for. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

There will be an Evening of Remembrance to honor Arnie’s life from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
