Antonina (Toni) Josephina Gehrlein

Antonina (Toni) Gehrlein was born on March 19, 1932 in Rochester, New York, and was called home to the Lord at the age of 87 on April 8, 2019 in Plano, Texas.

After graduating from high school, Toni worked for the Rochester Gas & Electric where she met Jerry. The family moved to Richardson, Texas, in 1975 with a job transfer. She was a loving and devoted full-time Mom who also then became a successful real estate agent for many years with Ebby Halliday Realtors. Like everyone else, her clients and colleagues loved her. During her well-earned retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family, traveling with Jerry, playing Bunco, bowling, doing many kind favors for others, and being involved in her church. She was a devoted volunteer at each church she attended over the years. Toni was a kind and gracious woman who prayed daily for everyone and we are certain still is.

Toni was the beloved daughter of Joe and Lena, who were waiting for her in Heaven, and the beloved sister of Jim, Lou, Mary Ann, and Joanne. She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of almost 61 years, Gerald (Jerry), and their children, Tom (wife Chusi), Mark (wife Diane), David, and Barbara. She loved her grandchildren, Hayden, Taylor, Matthew, Jonah, and Katherine, so much along with her many extended family, friends at church and elsewhere, and neighbors. She was a wonderful and caring woman of deep faith and precious love. While her physical body succumbed to congestive heart failure, she is now in the presence of God the Father, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 12, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023.  Inurnment will follow in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Columbarium.  Afterward, a reception will be held in the Parish Hall.
