Andre A Begin

Andre A Begin was born April 15, 1948 in Mont-Joli, Quebec Canada to parents Adrien and Germaine (Berube) Begin. He grew up in many parts of Canada because his father was in the Air Force.

Andre’s chosen career was in the I.T. field in data modeling. He worked in this industry for 40 years and traveled around the world doing so. Canada, France, Portugal, China and the United States, to name a few of the countries.

He assisted many companies build and develop computer systems. Some of the companies he worked for were Alberta Transportation and Utilities, Canada Post Corporation, Labour Canada, CIDA Canada, BC Hydro and Power, BC Telephone Corporation, Prince Corporation, NIKE Corporation, Western Surety, Crown Life Insurance Company, Newfoundland and Labrador Medical, U S West Communications, GE Medical Systems, Cigna Insurance, Consolidated Natural Gas Company, WorldCom Telecommunications, Amer Vision Communications, Price- Waterhouse-Cooper, Sprint PCS, Verizon, Discover Financial, Hewlett Packer, Walmart; again, to name a few.

Andre met Xunan in 1998 in Shanghai, China. She was a mechanical design engineer, so they were both “technology people”. They were married in Shanghai in January of 2000 and then moved to the United States. Andre loved the United States.

He was a very interesting person and loved to talk to people about history, culture and differences of countries. He made many friends. One of his hobbies was building ship models. He also liked to cook and had a lot of cookbooks and collected lots of recipes from different web pages. He always wished he had more time to cook for his friends but because of all the travel with his work he wasn’t able. When he was younger he often cooked for his friends and they enjoyed all his delicious foods.

Andre passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2018 in Plano, Texas.

Andre is survived by his loving wife Xanan Zhang, his loving children Troy, Pebbles, Chris; grandchildren Cherish, Lisa, Darren, Mikey, Avery, Tyler, Mason and Madox; great grandchildren Tatum, Cecelia, Noah and Gemma.
Private services were held by the family.
