Amy Lynn Pallister died on March 31, 2008, in Dallas, Texas, from complications resulting from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in September, 2004.
Amy was born in Dallas, Texas on December 17, 1967, attended Lake Highlands schools and graduated from Dallas Christian School. Thereafter, she attended Bauder
School of Fashion and Design in Arlington, Texas and the University of North Texas, from which she graduated with a degree in Behavioral Analysis and Psychology. Subsequently, Amy was employed as a social worker for Adams County, Colorado.
Amy’s family must give everlasting thanks, love and appreciation for all the love, prayers and support received from so many people who have helped Any and all of the rest of the family through this trying and difficult 3 ½ years. Any list of such people must include her many skilled doctors (especially Dr. Alan Shulkin, who became her friend, as well as her dedicated doctor), her many nurses and caregivers (especially Tommie Hatfield, who likewise became a dear friend), a well as those of Amy’s loyal friends who lifted her spirits through their encouragement, love and support.
Amy is survived by her mother Jan Pallister Jones, her brother Michael Pallister of Denver, Colorado, her step father Paul D. Jones, her step brothers Darrell Jones of Austin, Texas, David Jones of Pine Mountain Club, California, their wives Julie and Cheryl and their children, her step sister Paula A. Jones of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father Norman T. Pallister.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, in the chapel o Christ Church Plano. Private inurnment will follow in the columbarium at Christ Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Amy’s honor and memory be made to the Baylor Healthcare Foundation Spinal Cord Research at B.I.R., 3600 Gaston Ave., Dallas, Texas 75246.
