Amnuay Amanda Bray was born in Bangkok, Thailand on June 16, 1951, although her legal birthdate is January 26, 1952. In those days it was common for births to be reported at a later date in Thailand. She passed away from COVID Pneumonia on September 27, 2021.
She met her husband, Joe while he was on vacation in Thailand, and they were married in 1978. They had one daughter who was born in Thailand in 1979, afterward they moved to the United States in 1980. They were married for 25 years until her husband went to heaven in June of 2003.
Amnuay was most recently a senior caregiver with Senior Helpers, where she cared for people, as if they were her own family. She had also cared for others in the past as an independent caregiver as well as being a nanny. Each touched the lives of all the families she worked with.
She was a strong woman. She was bright, vibrant, and independent. Her love of Jesus shined through in everything that she did. Whether it was to tell someone to “Have a blessed day” or to stop and pray with someone or help where she could. She had a true servant's heart. Amnuay was a faithful Christian and was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church. Her warmth and infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew her.
Amnuay is survived by her daughter, Rosealia Bray, grandsons Austen and Luke Wells, three sisters and one brother and many additional family members in Thailand. She was preceded in death by her grandmother and parents, Mr. & Mrs. Moungthes of Thailand and her husband, Joseph Robert Bray, Jr.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Amnuay’s life Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel, Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W Park, Plano, Texas 75093 with Pastor Neal Jeffrey officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband at DFW National Cemetery following the service.
