Alice Brantley

Alice Jerrine Brantley was born December 4, 1965, in Arkansas, to James and Barbara Yarbrough and she passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

She was one of four daughters and graduated Azle High School. She was an outstanding athlete and competed in high school and college in basketball and high jump. She studied nursing for several years at TWU.

Alice moved to Dallas where she met and married Larry Brantley on September 2, 1989. Together they have three sons- James, Daniel, and Matthew. She touched many lives working as a youth leader in her church and made many lifelong friendships.

Alice also made many friends throughout her career, from the days she worked in sales at Carl’s Sewing Center and Husqvarna Viking. She learned the practice of medical massage and ultimately started her own business, Integrative Medical Massage. She found her true calling in helping countless people towards their journey to healing.

Throughout her life, she was always passionate about her faith and never stopped learning and helping others along the way. Alice always sought to challenge herself, and in the process, encouraged others to do so and grow as well. She loved crafting, sewing, embroidery, quilting and working in stained glass. She was unapologetically authentic and honest. Alice will be remembered as a loving mother, trustworthy friend and strong woman. She will be greatly missed!

Alice is survived by her sons James, Daniel and Matthew Brantley; parents James and Barbara Yarbrough; siblings Chamese and Katrina Yarbrough; brother-in-law Marlin Jones; former husband Larry Brantley and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Jones.
