Alexander Spadaro
November 25, 1923 — January 18, 2022
Alexander Spadaro, age 98, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Long Island, New York, left us on January 18, 2022.
He was a WWII veteran and a social worker for the New York Board of Education.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jennie Spadaro. They were married for 65 years.
He was a devoted father of Dr. Anthony (Jody) Spadaro and Donna (Martin) Donoghue; loving grandfather of Brian (Courtney) Donoghue, Jennifer (Ethan) Hill, Shannon Donoghue, Joseph (Karen) Spadaro, Cara Spadaro and Christian Spadaro; great-grandfather of Jack Younger, William Younger, Conor Spadaro and Liam Spadaro; and many adored nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his spirited love of life and warm smile.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Friday, March 25, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Faith Formation Center, 3100 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023 with a reception to follow.
The committal service and inurment with Army honors will follow at 2:30 pm at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
