Adam Brooks Proctor

August 15, 1980 — July 25, 2018

Adam Brooks Proctor was born August 15, 1980 in Stanton, Texas to parents Cooper and Laura (Brooks) Proctor. Adam was a beloved son, dad, brother, uncle and friend. Loved by all because he was easy to love. Beautiful inside and out with the smile that lit up a room and was contagious. He gave the best hugs ever. Generous, considerate and kind.

Adam was tremendously blessed throughout his life by having many who loved, mentored and imparted good things into him. Most notably, his grandfather, Ralph Brooks, uncles Greg and Mike Brooks, Syd and Kathy Keasler and childhood, lifetime friend, David Keasler, who was as close as a brother could possibly be. Adam always had a huge following of friends. Over the past few years, his life was significantly enriched by the love of Stephanie Trigg. We are forever indebted.

Adam was a passionate believer in Jesus Christ, having accepted Jesus into his heart at the age of 12. He was later baptized at First Baptist Church of Richardson, Texas where he and David lovingly terrorized the youth pastor and staff. Adam recently rededicated his life to Christ on Father’s Day 2018 at River of Glory Church.

Prior to his graduation from First Baptist Academy in 1999, he attended Berkner High School, Richardson Junior High and Spring Ridge Elementary school in Richardson. For the past several years he had worked as a successful roofing specialist in the home improvement industry.

Adam is survived by his son, Hunter Brooks Proctor, mother and step-father, Laura and Joe Covarrubias, sister Mandye Proctor Garrett, brother Shaine and sister-in-law Jamie Proctor, uncles and aunts Greg and Lisa Brooks, Cindy Brooks Barnes and Mike and Liz Brooks, Covarrubias family members and a host of nieces, nephews as well as his fiancé, Stephanie Trigg. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christie Dianne Sherrill Proctor, father Cooper Lee Proctor and grandparents, Ralph and Lynette Brooks and Thurman and Louise Proctor.

There will be a Celebration of Adam's life Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at River of Glory Church, 501 Accent Dr, Plano, Texas 75075.

He will be laid to rest Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 3:30 P.M. at Trinity Memorial Park Cemetery, Big Springs, Texas.  Adam loved wearing flip-flops, shorts and T-shirts, so please dress in casual attire.
