George William Thompson Sr

George William Thompson, Sr., 78 of Frisco, TX went to heaven on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:20am. He was born on October 30, 1931 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to Hamilton and Sonia Thompson. George was raised along with his younger sister Bobbie Thompson in Hawthorne, New Jersey. He married the love of his life, Mary K. Thompson on March 14, 1965.

George was the life of the party! He brought smiles to many faces with his music, through his band, George Thompson and The Western Rhythm Kings. He was always there to lend a helping hand and never expected anything in return. His three boys were his pride and joy!

George is survived by his wife, Mary K. Thompson and three sons: George Thompson, Jr., Bob Thompson, and David Thompson. Grandchildren: Ledger Thompson and Marcus Thompson; Sister: Bobbie Thompson of Carrollton Texas who was a flight attendant with American Airlines for 40 years and finally his poodles Jolie and Lexie.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Church located at 4550 Legacy Drive Plano TX 75024 on Saturday, February 6th 2010 at 3:30 pm.
