John Michael Schulte

John Michael Schulte, age 63, passed away after a valiant struggle with cancer at his home on December 25, 2010 surrounded by his family. John was a loving husband, devoted father, adoring Papou (grandfather), caring brother and overall an incredible man. His strength, honesty, intelligence and thoughtfulness were admired by all who knew him. What a blessing John Michael was to this world.

John was born in Dodge City, Kansas and graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1970. He was most recently a real estate agent with ReMax Dallas Suburbs. Prior to real estate, John worked for many years in various corporate roles.
On December 1st, 1973, he married the love of his life and best friend, Connie Schulte. They spent 37 wonderful years together.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his two daughters, Christina Stine (and husband Scott) and Cyndi Arakas (and husband Stamati), and son, Peter Schulte. He is also survived by his four precious granddaughters, Catharine & Ella Stine and Eleni & Sophia Arakas. John is also survived by his two brothers, Darrell and Bill Schulte, sister JoLynn Garrison, sister-in-law Barbara Antonakos and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. John was preceded in death by his parents John and Leona Schulte, sister JoAnn Willis and in-laws Peter and Georgia Antonakos.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 p. m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023, followed by a vigil service that begins at 7:00 p.m. A mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2010 followed by a reception in the Parrish Hall. John will be laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
