Sandra Kathleen Ritchie

Sandra (Sandi) Kathleen Ritchie was born on March 21, 1974 in Northlake, Illinois to parents Edwin and Eileen Schuett. She grew up in Plano, Texas and was a 1992 graduate of Plano East Senior High School, enjoying her time spent in ROTC and band and earned her Sociology Degree from The University of Texas at Dallas. She was employed by the Ron Vines Allstate Insurance Agency and was affiliated with the company since she was a junior in high school. She was immensely proud of her Celtic background and loved her two cats, Angus and Malcomb. Sandra was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and a huge fan of the sport of ice hockey. She was also enjoying her most recently discovered hobby with her husband Eric of brewing their own beer. Sandra was a loving, caring and dedicated person, but will be remembered most for her strength and ability to persevere. She was truly a gifted story teller, often turning a simple story into a vivid and colorful dissertation, keeping everyone on the edge of their seat and often times in laughter. Sandra left this world much too soon on February 13, 2010. She is survived by husband, Michael Eric Ritchie, mother, Eileen Schuett, sister, Pamela Joanne Alba, brother, Bradford Michael Schuett, nieces and nephews, Robert Mercer Alba, Chelsea Lynn Alba and Edwin Andrew Alba. She is preceded in death by her father Edwin Schuett. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.with The Reverend Monsignor Henry V. Petter, celebrant. A reception will follow the mass in the Parrish hall.
