Theresa Pellicone

April 30, 1931 — May 1, 2010

Theresa Pellicone was born on April 30, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Nicola and Catherine Romano. She grew up in New York and spent 70 years of her life there. Theresa was a mom who stayed involved in her children's lives, volunteering as den mother and class mom and she constantly worried about things like whether her children were being careful, coming home late, making sure they were eating enough and numerous other details. Her life was truly centered on her children and her grandchildren. Theresa was a great cook and for her, the best day she could have would be to prepare a big meal and have her grandkids come over and eat every last bite. After moving to Plano, to be near her grandkids, Theresa met many new friends and loved the new home she and her husband Frank had made for themselves. They joined several Italian clubs and enjoyed any activity that revolved around food and restaurants. She was called home to Heaven on May 1, 2010. Theresa was predeceased by five siblings and is survived by her loving husband Frank, sons Michael and Frank, grandchildren Michelle, Kevin, Daniel and Robert and her sisters Mary Messina, Clara Marino and Christine Trumpp. Friends may call at the funeral home during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, May 3rd and 4th. The family will greet friends at a visitation on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Vigil Service will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75023. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 also at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with The Reverend Jason Cargo, celebrant. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery. If desired, the family requests memorials be made in Theresa's name to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org .
