John was born in Donora, Pennsylvania on February 9, 1917; Max went to the Lord on June 27, 2010. A veteran of WWII, he was a decorated U.S. Navy W.O., serving 25 years on submarines. Upon his retirement, he became a Correctional Officer serving 20 years at California's Chino State Prison.
Max left an indelible legacy of unconditional love to his wife of 67 years Alma Maxwell, his children Zelline Anderson, Isabelle LeBeau, Michael Maxwell and his wife Delores, grandchildren Brad Parker, Pam Davis, Eileen Fields, Tom LeBeau, Robert LeBeau, Jeff Maxwell, Michael LeBeau, Russell Maxwell, Katherine LeBeau, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and brother Robert Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents John Luke and Stella Clifford Maxwell, his siblings Eddie Maxwell, Eileen Maxwell, Catherine Platt and June Reckline.
A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas, 75023. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the church with a reception to follow. John will be laid to rest with military honors at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010.
