Kyle Wesley Martin was born on November 3, 1960 in Seymour, Texas to parents William Wesley Martin and Bobbie Jean Lowrey Martin. At a very young age, as a first grader, Kyle's artistic talents became evident. As he grew older his artistic abilities expanded into a variety of forms. Whether showing his creativity in his landscaping in the yard or creating miniatures as a hobby Kyle was blessed like no other. As a young boy Kyle enjoyed summer vacations with the family, and especially loved traveling to Colorado. He sang in boys choirs at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and also served as an altar attendant. Kyle earned his brown belt in Karate as a teenager. He attended and graduated from the University of North Texas in 1985 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Kyle enjoyed his days as a Boy Scout as a youth and volunteered his time as an adult leader. He especially enjoyed the scouting experience with his son Dylan. Kyle utilized his artistic talents by handcrafting the "Arrow of Light" awards for boys in the Cub Scout Pack of which Dylan was a member. Scouts benefitted from Kyle's ability as a great story teller. He was the Committee Chairman of Pack 1776 and Camp Coordinator for Troop 198 of The Boy Scouts of America. Kyle and Dylan enjoyed spending time together outside of scouting as well, most recently restoring a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. Kyle loved animals and was absolutely fascinated with winged bugs, mostly those with multi colored wings. He used his artistic talents professionally in the technical industry as a computer programmer. On November 29, 2009 Kyle's life on this earth ended much too soon. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years Karen Miller Martin, son Dylan Lee Martin, mother Bobbie Jean Martin, sisters Candace Ann Potanka and husband Paul and Christie Jean Martin, brother Robert Keith Martin and wife Tina, step-mother Clydeen W.
