Ruth A Lukehart

Ruth A. Lukehart, age 82 of Allen, Texas passed away on May 5, 2010. She was born Ruth Arileen Wells on December 13, 1927 in Topeka, Kansas to Edward D. and Edyth Irene Wells. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert E. "Bob" Lukehart and her son Ronald David Lukehart. Ruth is one of eleven siblings, six of whom have also predeceased her. She graduated from Meriden High School in Meriden, Kansas in 1945. Ruth married Bob in 1947 and together they had three sons. In 1961, after the death of her son Ronnie, Ruth began a career with AT&T where she remained until her retirement in 1981. During her final years of life, Ruth was lovingly cared for by her granddaughter Leslie Lukehart Burns. Ruth was dearly loved by all and will be deeply missed by those who were closest to her. She is survived by her two sons Alan Lukehart and his wife Cindy and Michael R. Lukehart, four brothers and sisters, seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren all of whom were special to her and loved very much. Ruth's life will be celebrated at a funeral service on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Blvd. in Plano, Texas. Interment will follow on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Rose Hill Burial Park, at 11:00am in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
