Frank Edward Kemeny

Frank Kemeny, 71 of Plano, Texas died January 1, 2010, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born May 13, 1938, in Gary Indiana to Frank and Lillian Kemeny. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Western Michigan University, where he was a founding member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. Frank will be remembered for his honesty, loyalty and love for his family and pets. He was a dedicated Christian, husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. After Frank retired from the home building industry in 2001 he spent much time enjoying model railroading, reading history, being an avid sports fan and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol and son Vincent. Frank is survived by his wife of 46 years, Fran, his oldest son Frank, son Michael and wife Laura, much loved granddaughters Allison and Ava and special Aunt Sophie Babcock. The family would like to thank his friends for their love, support and many visits. A special thanks to Dr. Stone and his staff at North Texas Regional Cancer Center and also to the Oncology Staff at Medical Center of Plano for always honoring the dignity of the human life. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. Frank's remains will be inurned at the columbarium at the church immediately following the mass. A reception will follow the inurnment.
