Jack A. Botaro was born November 16, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Anthony and Ida Botaro.
Jack's friends and family always enjoyed hearing the story of how he started out in the film business. After graduating high school he went job searching on film row in Chicago. There was an opening at Republic Pictures for a female position as a clerk and Jack wanting to pursue a career in the movie industry said he will take it, and was hired on the spot. This led to fifty five years of employment in the business with such film companies as Allied Artists, and Universal Pictures. Jack often told stories of the many movie stars he had the opportunity to meet while working in the business.
His other interests were watching baseball and listening to music. Jack loved his family and enjoyed being a grandfather to Ava. Jacks family is so proud of the way he battled his illness and has great respect for his courage.
Jack passed away May 27, 2010 in Frisco, Texas and is survived by his wife of nearly 41 years, Dee Dee Botaro, son Tony Botaro, daughter Stacy Burton and her husband Matt, granddaughter Ava Burton and brother in law John Hunt. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother John Botaro.
