James David "Jd" Cole

Mr. James David Cole (J.D.), age 71 of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully on February 9, 2017, after a long battle with strokes and dementia. His remains are located at the Christ United Methodist Church Columbarium in Plano, Texas.

JD was born on March 29, 1945 in Crossett, Arkansas to Richard Eugene Cole and Gertrude Juanita Kelly. He graduated from the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and was a big fan of the Razorbacks. He moved to Plano in 1976, and he worked in sales for Graphic Packaging for over 30 years until his retirement in 2006. He loved to fish, play golf and travel.

Mr. Cole is survived by two daughters, Kelly Moreno and husband Andy of Plano, Liz Brandt and husband Chris of McKinney as well as three grandchildren, Janelle & Drew Moreno and Coby-Walker Brandt.

The family requests memorials in his name be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 3101 Coit Road, Plano, TX 75075, to the House on the Corner or Disaster Recovery Team missions.
