Dr Diab Henry Jakoub

Dr. Diab Henry Jakoub passed away at Medical City Plano on March 14, 2017 in Plano, Texas at the age of 69.

Diab is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Chamberlain of Richardson, Texas; his daughter, Deena Henry and husband, Michael; his brother, Hani Henry Jacob and wife, Joyce; his brother, Nabil Henry Jacob and wife, Hanan; his nieces, Christine and Katty; his nephew, Daniel; and the rest of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Jakoub Sabry and Gowhara Ragheb Marzouk, of Cairo, Egypt.

Diab was born on January 23, 1948 in Cairo, Egypt. He married Donna on April 8, 1970, and after moving to the United States, they welcomed the birth of their daughter, Deena, in 1986. He received a Bachelor of Science and went on to obtain his MBA from Amber University followed by a Doctorate of Philosophy with a major in Business Administration from Pacific Western University in 1998. Dr. Jakoub owned dental laboratories, was a business consultant, and a professor. He enjoyed playing soccer, fishing, telling stories, laughing and spending time with his family and friends.

An Afternoon of Remembrance is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Allen Family Funeral Options in Plano, Texas. Father Boulos Mikhael will lead the gathering in prayer and family will speak at 4:30PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Diab's life. The family of Diab Jakoub wishes to thank Life Care Center of Plano and Medical City Plano, the numerous nurses and doctors that provided care, and St. Philopateer Coptic Orthodox Church.
