Nancey Beth London

October 19, 1951 — January 7, 2017

Nancey Beth (Naar) London was a mother, grandmother, sister, wife, friend, co-worker, Boy Scout leader, and many vital roles to many organizations and people in life. She lived her life with tremendous vigor and never gave less than 110%. She grew up in Miami with her parents, Denzil and Alyce Naar, and her brother Steven. Her parents instilled values that she held until she died: love of family, treating others with kindness, and an unbridled passion for the outdoors. She loved sailing, camping, and cooking delicious food.

She graduated from the University of Florida in 1972. She married Francis Anderson in 1981 and had three children: Daniel (1982), David (1984), and Alyssa (1989). The family moved to Plano in 1991 where she taught at Congregation Beth Torah and later worked as a medical transcriptionist. She began her service to Scouting in 1989 and joined Troop 261 in 1993.

Nancey loved Scouting and everything it entails. She loved making the food for the leaders on campouts, and just a few weeks ago she celebrated her 24th Winter Camp. She hiked the trails of New Mexico at Philmont in 1997. It is through Troop 261 that she met her current husband, Roger London; they were married at Camp Wisdom on June 30, 2001. Nancey and Roger were the perfect scouting duo. She was a mother to every scout that crossed her path. Nancey volunteered in the Scouting program for 29 years.

Nancey was also very passionate about her German Shepherds, Kiiye and Kota, her children, and her grandchildren Alexa (2009), Dean (2013), and Levi (2015). She relished the role of "Nana." She was dedicated to everything from her children's school activities and colleges to helping with anything she could do for them. She loved Missouri, Texas A&M, Penn State, and her Florida Gators.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church 3101 Coit Rd., Plano, Tx at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Leonard Texas.
