Brett Witzig

Brett J. Witzig passed away on January 9th, 2017. Brett is survived by two children Madison and Austin of Plano, Texas; his parents Bill and Candace Witzig in Jonestown, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born on August 12th, 1968 at Webb AFB in Big Spring, Texas. Brett grew up in the Houston area then moved to The Woodlands, Texas in 1980 and graduated from McCullough High School there. He earned a BS degree in business from the University of Texas in 1991. Brett married his high school sweetheart Judy Nunez (the mother of his children) in January of 1993. He worked in commercial construction management for the last 23 years of his career. Brett's number one passion was hanging out with his kids. Watching sporting events with his son Austin and accompanying Madison to horseback riding sessions were cherished times for Brett. He also loved outdoor activities; camping, fishing, biking, boating, and riding ATVs at his parent's Wisconsin summer home. Brett was an avid animal lover. Among the pets he had throughout his life he even had a pet snake for over 10 years while growing up. He was known to be an extremely kind, gentle person by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Hunter's Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road, Plano, Texas. If it is your wish, donations should be made to the family for his children's college fund.
