Edmond F. (Ed) Wall, Jr was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on December 26, 2016. Ed was an Air Force veteran, a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, and a career software quality engineer. His accomplishments were grand, but his true legacy is who he was as a Christian, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend. Ed was a charter member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas, a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, a longtime member of the Parish Council, a dedicated usher, a Eucharistic Minister, an active member of the Men's Club, and an ardent member of the church neighborhood group, called the Farsiders. Ed never stopped learning, always seeking
opportunities to improve himself. Family, friends, and community enjoyed his passion for cooking. Never one to sit still, Ed served at daily Mass, was a golfer, a bowler, a scuba diver, a dart thrower, a fly fisherman, a violinist, a beer brew master, a passionate Cowboys fan, a tech gadget aficionado, and a traveler. Brother, husband, father, grandfather; Ed cherished his family and treasured sharing the journey with his wife, Mary. Coaching soccer for Jenny and Missy, cheering the accomplishments of his daughters and granddaughters, and creating wonderful vacation memories were just a few of his joys. Ed's compassionate, selfless example of servant leadership is exemplified in the lives of his family. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Mary K. Wall; daughter, Jennifer Waters and her husband, Brady; daughter, Missy Wall; granddaughters, Taylor, Lauren, and Katelynn Waters and Piper Wall; brother, Bert Wall and his wife, Ruth; niece, Rene' Luna and husband, Scott, and their sons Alex and Collin; and a wonderful extended family of cousins. Pallbearers will be Bert Wall, Dave Steffel, Roger Minehane, George Rommel, Gary Ruppert and Joe Schumacher. There will be a Prayer Vigil Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with a reception to follow in the parish hall. Ed will be laid to rest in the columbarium at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Ed's name to the Men's Club of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church or the Knights of Columbus of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
