Jerry Temples

Jerry Temples, 73, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2016. Jerry was born March 10, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Billie Kirk and Arlene McDonald Temples. He married Elizabeth Jean Bossman on June 13, 1964, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. A native Texan, Jerry graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas and the University of North Texas in Denton. Jerry was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church for many years where he served as a deacon and helped start and direct several adult Sunday School classes. Jerry never met a stranger and always had a new joke or crazy story to share.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Temples; daughters Angela Temples of Niles, Michigan, and Becky (Paul) Daily of Frisco, Texas; grandsons, Aidan, Noah, Tucker, Cade, Titus and Grayson; sister Donna (Sam) Wortham of Sante Fe, New Mexico; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Prestonwood Baptist Church North Campus, 1001 W. Prosper Trail Prosper, Texas. Interment will be at 10:00 am Friday, November 11, 2016 at Pecan Grove Cemetery, 1701 S. McDonald Street McKinney, Texas.
