Meryl F Gray

Meryl Gray, 70, of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016, at her home. A nurse, for 50 years, dedicated her life to the care of others. She showed uncommon compassion for the ill and those in need. Even as she faced the challenges and heartbreaks of her own failing health, she remained committed to her patients; many never knew how seriously ill she was. Meryl was a loving mother and grandmother. Jordan, Zachary and Chloe were a constant source of light and joy in her life. Meryl was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Walker, and her father, Raymond Harris. She is survived by her two children, Tori Moore and Mark Gray; sister, Cheryl Jackson; sister in law Pam Swofford and her husband Kenneth; Jordan Allgood, Zachary and Chloe Moore; Suzanne Cunningham and Scott Swofford, Darryl Arnberger and Lisa Jackson; and many other loving family members and friends.
She would want you to smile when you think of her- say her name aloud when you picture her in your mind, in the hope it brings you joy. Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road Plano, Texas 75023. Entombment will immediately follow at Restland Memorial Park Chapel Gardens Mausoleum.
