Bruce Eric Eichenberger was born as the youngest son of Joan and Donald Eichenberger on February 17, 1963 while his family lived in Marion, Iowa. He passed from this life on August 22, 2016 at the age of 53 in McKinney, Texas. Bruce was a bachelor.
Bruce's public schooling other than his high school senior year took place in the Linn Mar School district in Marion. He finished high school at the Plano Senior High School following his family's move to Texas in 1978. After several years of work Bruce entered Texas Tech University to seek an electrical engineering degree. He attained his BSEE degree in 1990.
Following his Texas Tech graduation, Bruce experienced a long development of a brain disorder which ultimately rendered him unable to have the engineering career that he so earnestly desired. Short-time technical work was his destiny for some years until the brain disorder made even that impossible. His passing brought to an end his long struggle with a combination of diseases culminating with Leukemia.
Bruce was an active young person in Boy Scouting, high school band music, several hobbies, and was often engaged in his own inventions of electronic circuits. He later became an active member of the West Plano Presbyterian Church and the NAMI organizations of Plano and McKinney. He always enjoyed family gatherings and engaging with friends of the groups he attended.
He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Eichenberger earlier this year.
He is survived by his father, Don Eichenberger.
Siblings, David, Duane and his wife Maneerat, John and his wife Janita, and Deborah and her husband Michael Russell. Bruce is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
