Marilynn grew up and attended school in Moss, Oklahoma where she graduated High School. She was an avid Basketball and Softball player winning the State Championship with her school team. Marilynn raised her 2 children Wayne and Jaynee with her husband Dale of 44 years. She was determined to achieve the most out of life and knew early on that hard work and dedication would help achieve her goals. She built a career in the Multi-family Real Estate industry where she was loved and respected by all of her colleagues for her spirit, her work ethic and talents. She achieved success and ultimately became Executive Vice-President of a national real estate firm. Marilynn always possessed a unique skill and love for Interior Design and later spent the remainder of her career with Freedom Furniture Company where she helped others design their homes and apartments with beautiful furnishings. Marilynn loved her husband, Dale and their children and stepchildren, which included 7 grand- children. She traveled and was able to see almost the entire world with Dale over the years, including living for a short time in Nigeria, Africa. Family was number one to her and it was important that she be close and active in the lives of all of her children and especially grandkids, nephews and nieces. Not only was she the best Mother and Wife, she was the best MIMI to her grandchildren. She also was named world's BEST AUNT by so many of her nieces and nephews. She loved to buy gifts and spoil each of them beyond measure. Marilynn had a great sense of humor and possessed impeccable style and class. She was a loyal and dependable friend to so many and everyone wanted to be around her because she was always so much fun. Reading, Decorating, Cooking and Traveling were her favorite hobbies. Holiday traditions with family were important and what she looked forward to each year. She's a Breast Cancer survivor however the results of past treatments affected her health most recently resulting in a shorter life than we all wanted for her. Throughout these most recent years of poorer health, she never complained and shined in her most positive spirit that we will always remember her as. She will be so greatly missed and was loved by all. Let's cherish her memory and life, as she would desire, for each of us who knew her and loved her so much. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Hunters Glen Baptist Church 4001 Custer Road Plano, Texas. She will be buried next to her father at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
