Danielle Marie Ivener

July 7, 1999 — January 13, 2016

Danielle Marie Ivener, 16 of Frisco, Texas passed away January 13, 2016 from complications of the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CDLS). She was born in Plano, Texas. Danielle attended school in the Frisco Independent School District and church at Custer Road United Methodist Church. Danielle was a happy, loving girl who enjoyed pianos, music and stuffed animals. She spent her days attending school with her devoted teachers, aides and peer partners in Frisco ISD. She loved riding the bus to and from school every day while rocking out to Disney radio. At home she enjoyed creating music in every room she entered. She was visited weekly by therapists who truly made her life fuller and richer. Her outdoor activities were only slightly hampered by her aversion to wearing shoes and socks and to direct sunlight. She enjoyed going out and about with her family to dinner and events around town as well as traveling cross country, visiting zoos and animal parks in many states. Danielle also loved her annual trips to visit grandma and grandpa Ivener in Iowa, enjoying the view out of the floor to ceiling windows. When not traveling Danielle spent time with her second family at Friday Nite Friends respite program, where she and her siblings were lovingly cared for so her parents could spend some couple time. Danielle also had many afternoons and weekends singing with Grandma Beverly. The two of them hanging out on the couch and having many in-depth conversations. Danielle's life was full and happy, always living for what we could and not for what we couldn't. She is survived by her parents Kathryn and Randy, sister Nicole and brother Zachary. Also loved by her grandparents Rosalie and Kirk Ivener of Sioux City, Iowa, Beverly McCashen of Frisco, Texas, and Lloyd McCashen of Fallbrook, California and 10 aunts and uncles and 14 cousins. Extended family and friends too numerous to mention. Donations are appreciated to Friday Nite Friends, care of Custer Road United Methodist Church (http://crumc.org/), and the CdLS Foundation (http://www.cdlsusa.org/).
