Lee Ripley

Jonathan Lee Ripley, 58, of Allen, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, May 23, 2016 at Presbyterian Dallas hospital after a long and courageous battle. Lee loved his family, his friends, going on vacations, the Rangers whether they won or lost, golf-playing ~ not watching it, Christmas and Christmas movies especially Christmas Vacation and White Christmas, the Beatles and countless other bands, all his precious pets and his latest ones Coco and Chanel, cookouts in the backyard, writing, always giving encouragement and inspiration to others and to everyone he knew and loved, and above all else God. Lee was truly a special man and had the biggest heart and we will dearly miss him, his wittiness, his way with words, his kindness, and his generosity. He always saw the good in everything and everybody; he stayed positive and faithful to the very end. Lee was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all. A special thank you to the countless family members and friends who came to visit and prayed continuously not just for the past 7 months, but the last 3 years as Lee endured and beat so many health issues. Lee was so loved and adored and he would be overwhelmed but deeply moved by the outpouring of love everyone has shown. Lee is survived by his wife Terry of almost 30 years, son Jonathan Lee Ripley, Jr., brother George Ripley and his wife Elaine, sister Susan Miele and her husband Art, Bill Ripley and his wife Alma and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Jean Ripley. There will be a visitation Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel, Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W Park Blvd, Plano, Texas 75093.
