At home, surrounded by friends and family, Margaret Lynne (Wadsworth)Duncan; wife, daughter, mother, and friend, received the ultimate healing at 2:48pm May 17th, 2016, as she passed from this life into the eternal loving arms of Jesus. Born to Jack and Alice (Brown) Wadsworth in Fort Worth, Texas on October 8th, 1955, she was raised in Haltom City, Texas and was a 1974 graduate of Haltom high school. She met and fell in love with a handsome young seminary student, David Duncan of Longview, Texas, and the two married November 20th, 1976. Margaret trained as an LVN and worked in that profession for a brief time before embarking on her next great professionmotherhood. Her eldest son, Randy, born in 1978 was followed by son, Andrew, in 1980. In 1990, baby Claire makes it a family of five. She was a very loving and devoted mother, and by all respects a marvelous baker and cook. Many memories of her will certainly be shared through the kitchen.
As the boys grew, Margaret found a new calling in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Starting as a den mother, Margaret's involvement grew to the district level and beyond. She was awarded the Silver Beaver, a council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. When Claire reached grade school, Margaret got "roped" into participation with the PTA at Dartmouth Elementary in Richardson, Texas. After many years of service she was awarded PTA Life Achievement Award and Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers Life Achievement Award. Her many accolades and achievements in volunteer service to others are too numerous to mention. She took the duties and requirements of every position to task and helped those who had the pleasure of working with her realize their greatest potential. Everyone was welcome to be a part of her team and she had a way of getting others to "play nice" with each other, and quite frankly to know her was to love her.
Surviving her and missing her terribly here on earth before seeing her again in Heaven are her husband David, mother Alice Wadsworth, two sisters and spouses, James and Donna Sultemeier of Johnson City, Texas, David and Robin Sandusky of Aledo, Texas, Sister-in-law Bobbie Wadsworth of Euless, Texas. Her sons and their spouses, Randy and Heather Duncan of McKinney, Texas, and Andrew and Mandy Duncan of Providence Village, Texas, her daughter Claire Duncan of Houston, Texas, five grandchildren, Philip, Kinsley and Mallory Duncan of McKinney, Texas, and Rory and Jack Duncan of Providence Village, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Jack Wadsworth, Sr. and her brother Jack Wadsworth, Jr.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, May 23rd at 12:00pm at Richardson Woman's Club- Founders Hall, 2005 North Cliffe Drive, Richardson, Texas 75082. Please join us to celebrate and share stories from this amazing woman's life.
