Catherine Lafon Wilson

Catherine LaFon Wilson passed away peacefully May 14, 2016. Born August 6, 1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma, she grew up in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1961. She received a bachelor's and master's degree from East Texas State University and was the librarian at William M. Anderson Elementary School for close to 38 years. She was preceded in death by parents Jessie Leonard LaFon and Carrie Pearl (Nickerson) LaFon.
She is survived by daughter Carrie Riney and son-in-law Carey Riney, grandson Morgan Riney, Jacob Riney, wife Emmy and great grandchildren Lilly and Cash, Caleb Riney, Micah Riney, wife Christine and great grandson Lucas.
Also survived by her sister Bradley Sue Howell, nephew Mark Howell and wife Teri, niece Celeste Hlavenka and great niece Rose, niece Jane Walker, great niece Angela Hill, husband Brent and great great niece Amelia, great nephew Wesley Walker and wife Elizabeth.

The family will receive guests for visitation at 1130 a.m. and we would like everyone to join the family for lunch at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Chase Oaks Church, 201 Legacy Dr., Plano, Texas. A service to honor and celebrate Catherine's life will follow at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Allen City Cemetery, Allen, Texas.
