William (Bill) Herbert Cahn

William Herbert Cahn was born February 6, 1928 in New York City, New York to parents Oscar and Florence (Guth) Cahn. He passed away May 3, 2016 in Plano, Texas. Bill Cahn was the smartest, most honorable man we've ever met who loved his family deeply; especially his loving wife of 65 years --Dolores. He was always there for his children and grandchildren. He even built a special bridge for his first granddaughter. He was a man who wanted nothing for himself except love, honor and respect. For relaxation, Bill did three crossword puzzles daily in pen. He enjoyed his weekly poker games and was an avid reader of historical fiction. If he didn't know the answer to something, he would look it up -- because he was a man who never stopped learning. Bill is survived by wife Dolores Cahn, children Barbara Cahn, David Cahn and his wife Trish and Andrew Cahn and his wife Debra, grandchildren Kristina Munoz, Kevin Cahn, Alison Edwards, Derek Cahn, Shannon Gray, Bobby Gray and Josh Blackmon, greatgrandchildren Miles Cahn and Braedon Blackmon, niece Diana Cahn and nephew Douglas Cahn. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Cahn. A graveside service to honor Bill's life will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Plano Mutual Cemetery, Plano, Texas.
