Steven John Pardee, 59, passed away on Saturday, February 20th, 2016 in Plano, Texas after a short battle with cancer. Steve was born in Rochester, New York on November 1, 1956 to Adele and John Pardee. He graduated from East Rochester High School in 1974 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, and a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. At St. Lawrence, Steve was a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. After graduation, and while first employed with Texas Instruments, Steve met the love of his life Joany and they married in Dallas, Texas in 1985. Steve began a nearly 35 year career in the semiconductor industry during which time he held numerous leadership positions, living in Texas, Pennsylvania and Nice, France and traveling all over the world. Steve's career progressed to serving as vice president at both Agere Systems and Texas Instruments (TI). Most recently, Steve was on the leadership team of TI's worldwide manufacturing organization, leading the global finance and operations team and prior to that he led the finance team for TI's wireless business unit. In addition to having a great mind for business and finance, Steve had a unique sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh when they needed it most. Steve was a friend to those who had the pleasure to work with him and he also served as a generous mentor to many. Steve has always been active within the church, both in Bethlehem, PA and in Plano, enjoyed working with the youth. He involved himself with his sons sports teams of soccer and lacrosse and enjoyed them immensely. He spent a vast amount of time working with non-profit organizations. He was especially active within the United Way and always enjoyed the team events shared working on United Way projects. Steve was an avid golfer and he loved to travel with the love of his life. Steven is survived by his mother, Adele Pardee; his wife, Joany Pardee, their two sons, Matthew Pardee and Nathan Pardee; his sister, Anne Robson and her husband Bill Robson, two nieces, Kathryn Fox, Molly Keegan and nephew, Andrew Robson and his sister-in-law, Linda Toney and husband Dick Vaughn. Services will be held on Friday, February 26th at 10:00am at Christ Church Plano, 4550 Legacy Dr., Plano TX 75024. If it is your wish, the family asks that donations be made in Steve's name to initiatives he was passionate about: City House (http://www.cityhouse.org), a non-profit based in North Dallas aimed at protecting at-risk youth; or the Molly A. Keegan Special Needs Trust (http://www.mollykeegan.org), a trust established for Steve's niece, Molly Keegan, who suffered a catastrophic spinal injury in 2013.
